Dairy-free Fruit Smoothie
“1,000 Low-Fat Recipes” (Macmillan, 1998)

Ingredients:

1 ripe banana 4 large strawberries 1/2 cup orange juice 1 cup drained, canned pineapple or fresh chunks 1 nectarine or peach, pitted and peeled 1 teaspoon honey or more to taste

Instructions:

Combine ingredients in blender and puree. This can be made two hours before serving and chilled in the refrigerator. For an instant chilled drink, keep chunks of frozen fruit in the freezer.

Makes two servings.
